I'm Alexio and I am honored to have you as a guest here in my creative rabbit hole! 🐇🕳

If you couldn't tell, I am absolutely fascinated with adventure photography and videography. Every waking moment, I am plotting my next journey into the unknown… for it is there that I feel most alive. I get shivers looking back to see how far I’ve come in photography through pure, organic, curiosity. Fueled by my escapades around the world with my wife Taylor and my two boys, I still feel sheer excitement and often disbelief with every pull of the trigger.

More than just a creative passion - my photography is a mechanism for me to give back to the friends and family who are most important to me in my life. An eternal gift that will always be available for friends to press play and relive cherished experiences. I have applied my creativity to my Real Estate Listings to develop visionary marketing material that has earned my clients hundreds of thousands of dollars over market value in many cases.

I've earned many accolades for my work and I was recently honored as a finalist in a 2020 National Geographic instagram photo competition.

In my free time, I like playing piano, bodysurfing, waterpolo, soccer, and volunteering with the local non-profit "Top Soccer"

Roadtrip part 3 Big Sur / Monterey- we drove 4 hours west through the orange farms of Fresno and Watsonville to get to Monterey where we met some friends then headed into the Redwoods of Big Sur. Our camp site had direct river access for tubing and toes-in-water charcuterie and rosé 🍷🧀 Cove loved floating down the river with dad! Despite constantly bruising my butt on the shallow rocks, I’m starting to realize that part of being a parent means sacrificing your body to get more smiles from your kids 🤣

Roadtrip Part 2 Yosemite Night Sky. Some of the brightest i’ve ever seen! For me - the hardest thing about night photography (besides navigating around bedtime😴) is getting the stars in focus... I find the brightest one and then squint through the viewfinder while dialing the focus to optimal crispness. Its fuzzy at best in the field. Luckily this time they turned out pretty clear! Notice the 2 opposite angles of half dome taken 2 hours apart!

Roadtrip Part 1 Yosemite 2 kids. 1 camper van. lots of driving. many struggles and many rewards - including a double rainbow while eating dinner in front of a waterfall, standing on 600 year old tree tops in the middle of a pristine alpine lake, and searing a ribeye while watching the sunset over half dome :) One of the realizations I had was “Sometimes if you want to see rainbows, you have to sit through some rain (hard times)”

Early Life and College

Alexio grew up in a bilingual French-American home in north county San Diego. Since then, he has worked 5 summers as a Beach Lifeguard, won 2 National Waterpolo championships and has traveled to 5 of the 7 world continents.

Alexio graduated from UC Santa Cruz in Spring of 2015 with a degree in Business Management - Economic (emphasis in accounting). During his Junior and Senior years, Alexio was president of the University Club Waterpolo team, that trained three hours, six days a week. He was also involved in Santa Cruz Consulting Club, that continues to provide marketing and business consulting to community non-profits.

Under Alexio's leadership as Club President, the UCSC Club Waterpolo Team earned its 3rd National Championship title in November '14 at Bowdoin University in Maine. He then took his team international to participate in the Hong Kong Asia-Pacific International Waterpolo tournament August 2015 where they placed 5th.
